About the Area
Canungra is close to the expanding Gold Coast, but will not be swallowed up by the hustle and bustle, thanks to the buffer of many hectares being natural bushland, owned by the Dept of Defence, and used as a training base.
The township lies approx. 25 mins from Nerang, 40 mins from the beautiful Gold Coast coastline and only 25 mins to Beaudesert or 50 mins to Brisbane CBD.
Canungra is growing because people want to be a part of a smaller community and share in the country lifestyle. The population has grown to approx 3,000, including the surrounding valleys.
There have been government provisions for future acreage and residential subdivisions to support growth, and there has also been an interest in a retirement village and a new shopping centre.
In recent years, the Canungra community succeeded in securing our own branch of the Bendigo Bank.
During our extensive experience in real estate, there has always been a high demand for rental properties in this area; this offers an ideal opportunity for property investors. This is probably due to the close proximity to the Gold Coast and the Canungra Army barracks.
